Alharthi is a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Delaware. A Saudi writer, her debut Arabic short story collection Black Cat & Other Stories won the Sharjah Prize for Arab Creativity. Her chapbook Pear & Other Essays won Kairos Literary 1st place award. She is the recipient of the 2023 Cole Swensen Prize for Translation, and the 2023-2024 Kingsbury Award. Her short story collection I Will Judge You from Your Roommate is forthcoming in 2026.
